I am after motivated & reliable girls to go nuts on organising our exhibition bout in May. Far Q has scribbled a bit down already. If you are interested I think a committee would be the best way of organising this event. Some things to consider for this event are:
Posters, fliers, invitations, half-time entertainment, food & piss, live music, MC (Dave!!), score board, penalty boxes, referees, uniforms/costumes, night markets, tickets, costs, volunteers, derby music, seating, after party, PCYC involvement etc etc etc.
Be as creative & entertaining as you like!
Get behind your league and have a say in how you would like to see this awesome night function. EEEEEeeeeeek Very exciting!!!
Please only add your name to this event if you would like to be on the Bout Committee. Another event will be later added for those who are attending the Bout ;o)

The 8 week challenge starts NEXT WEEK (18th March!)
If you need a DVD for the challenge please comment on this post so we can burn one for you to pick up next week. Cost to you is $5.
You will find everything you need right here on our website.
Go to "forums" (one of the tabs above) then scroll down untill you see the section "8 week challenge" here you will find a number of things:
Meal plans (done in week by week posts)
Workout plans (week by week)
Home work (" ")
& a discussion/support page
Go on... Have a look at the Homework page now to get you into the groove of it. Some people have already displayed their answers/posts. Doing these will make it feel as though we are not going it alone. As will training & the discussion page so I definately encourage you to utilise them. You can organise workout days together, additional workout ideas (I kow Kun'up wants to organise swimming areobics at her place) and can even organise dinner dates utilising the menu plas. Up to you... but enjoy the large challenge ahead of you - see ya on the flipside!

Hey Derby Dolls
I have recieved a really good deal for some media advertising with Hot FM in the new year, however we have no money to pay for it. We also have no fundraising officer, so im happy to put my hand up (just for this one) to see if we can raise some cash.
I have been talking to the owners of the Retreat Hotel out at Nebo to see if we can hold a fundraiser out there when they have there next big gig. I have asked if purhaps we can work the bar (with skates on of course) and have a tip jar, also do a raffle of some sort and anything else that we can come up with.
They LOVED the idea, however we all need RSA's. Just wondering how many of you would be interested in a weekend at the retreat hotel, free camping, partying and who of you have their RSA.
We will try and think of other things to do out there aswell.
Get back to me ASAP with some other ideas to which would be great.
AND THATS RIGHT HAYLEY, WE ARE GONNA COME OUT TO YOU ![]()

How much would it suck to watch your Team Mates prance around on their skates looking all fine & that during Demo Days & Promo Days... (Like the Sports Expo comming up) whilst you look lame in a pair of shoes?
_________________________Thinking Time_____________________________
Yep! That WOULD suck!
In order to not be this person.... You need to pass what we call a Minimum Skills Written Test. This Test consists of 40 Multiple Choice questions that cover all aspects of rules for Derby (WFTDA).
You can find the (complex) rules here
http://wftda.com/rules/wftda-rules.pdf
and
http://wftda.com/rules/wftda-rules-appendix-c-referee-hand-signals.pdf
I am going to give you the opportunity to sit this test at the beginning of January so that you can be part of fun upcomming events.
The dates of the testting are 14th & 15th January. It does not matter if you are Freshmeat!!
If you would like to do the test please email me (chat2u@soon.com) & on the 14th of Jan I will send you the test which is to be printed out & brought in to training.
Study Hard!!
